Rate of play 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one

Bye-Rule Players who wish to take one half-point bye may do so, provided they give adequate notice immediately after the finish of their game of the previous round. However no player may request a bye in the last four rounds.
Appeals Committee An appeals committee will be formed comprising of three players. All appeals will be submitted in writing within one hour of the end of the game.
Registration With registration form or via internet www.sgzurich2009.ch. There you will find regularly updated starting lists. If registrated by the 15th July 2009, you will get a confirmation of registration and a pay-in slip after sending the entry fee to PC-Konto 85-326047-6 (Schachgesellschaft Zürich, Jubiläum 2009, 8008 Zürich), IBAN: CH31 0900 0000 8532 6047 6.   • Prizes: A main prize can be combined with one Elo-category-prize or with one special prize. Elo-category-prizes can not be combined with special prizes
  • Main Prizes from 1st to 16th place according Hort-system. Classification according points/Buchholz with one void result.
  • * If a player has several Elo-ratings the rules are as follows:
  • Master:
    If existing, a FIDE-Elo overrides any other national Elo-rating. If there is no FIDE-Elo, the CH-Elo is decisive. If there is neither CH-Elo nor FIDE-Elo, the national Elo-rating is relevant only after the given national Elo-rating is being checked and approved by the tournament organisation as comparable to the FIDE-/CH-System.
  • General:
    If existing, a CH-Elo overrides FIDE-Elo and any other national Elo-rating.
